About PWA Icon Generator
A free set of tools for the files every Progressive Web App needs.
What this site does
Turning a website into an installable app takes a surprising number of small files: icons in a dozen sizes, maskable versions for Android, a touch icon and launch images for iOS, a favicon, and a manifest that lists them all correctly. Getting one of them wrong is enough to stop the install prompt from appearing.
PWA Icon Generator produces all of those files from a single image, writes the manifest, and checks a live site to tell you which piece is missing. Each tool does one job and links to the next step.
How the tools work
The generators run entirely in your browser. Your image is resized on your own device with the Canvas API and packed into a ZIP there; it is never uploaded. The manifest generator works the same way.
The PWA validator is the one tool that uses a server, because a browser is not allowed to read the files of another website. Our server fetches the page, manifest and icons of the address you enter and returns what it found. Nothing is stored.

Every tool is free for personal and commercial projects, with no account and no limit on how many assets you generate. The site is built and maintained by an independent developer.
