Privacy Policy
What this site collects, what it does not, and why.
Images and manifests
Images you add to the icon, favicon, maskable icon and Apple touch icon generators are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded, and we cannot see them. The same is true for anything you type into the manifest generator or paste into the validator's manifest tab.
PWA validator
When you check a URL, the address is sent to our server so that it can fetch that page, its manifest and its icons. The fetched content is used to build the report and is then discarded. Reports are not saved.
Like any web request, the request to our server is recorded in the hosting provider's standard logs, which include the address checked, the time and your IP address. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
Feedback and bug reports
After you have used a tool, the site offers a feedback form and a bug report form. Both are optional. What you enter (a star rating, your message and, if you give it, your email address) is sent to our server and stored in Google Firebase, together with the page you were on, your browser version, your window size and the country your request came from, which help to reproduce problems. Your image and your files are never included.
Feedback is shown publicly on this site only if you tick the box that allows it. It then appears with the name, role or company and country you choose to enter, or as Anonymous if you leave them empty. Your email address and the country of your request are never shown.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the tools are used. It records page views and a small number of events: that a file was selected and its type, that the demo was started, that the advanced options were opened, that assets were generated, that the real use preview was opened, that a ZIP or manifest was downloaded, that a validation was run and whether it passed, that feedback or a bug report was sent and its star rating, and clicks between the tools.
File names, image content and the addresses you validate are not sent to Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes data such as your approximate location and device type. You can block it with a browser extension or your browser's tracking protection, and the tools keep working.
Storage on your device
The site stores your light or dark theme choice, a note that a tool has been used and a note that the feedback question has already been shown, in your browser's local storage. A service worker keeps a copy of the pages and scripts on your device so the generators open quickly and work offline. Neither is used to identify you, and both are removed when you clear the site data in your browser.
Hosting and third parties
The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes requests in order to deliver the pages. Google provides the analytics service described above and stores the feedback you choose to send. We do not sell data, show advertising or share information with anyone else.
